The East Moline Maintenance Services Department consist of seven separate divisions and office employees all working out of one building. Each division has its own separate duties to perform; however, the employees from all divisions can be used in other divisions if the work load demands it.
The Maintenance Services Department provides an employee on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Employees handle all types of emergency situations such as sewer backups, flooding, debris in streets, malfunctioning traffic signals, snow or ice cover streets, storm work, water main ruptures, and frozen water meters just to name a few. The hours of work for the Maintenance Services Department are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. For emergencies after hours, on weekends or holidays, residents may contact the non-emergency number at the 911 Centre at (309) 797-0401.
