Lt. Dustin Edkin was hired at EMPD in January of 2004 and was promoted to Lt. on September 16, 2018. He is a graduate of St. Ambrose University with a BS in criminal justice. He spent time as a general crimes investigator and then was assigned to the Quad Cities Federal Gang Task Force. He is currently assigned as the 2nd shift Commander.
